DTU Nanolab

The headquarters of the Danish Chips Competence Centre will be located at DTU Nanolab. The headquarters will be responsible for daily management, communication and administration, as well as maintaining contacts and connections with other EU chips competence centres.

On the technical side, DTU Nanolab will lead activities related to chip fabrication. These activities will build upon the existing expertise and processing capabilities of DTU Nanolab, which include fully equipped process lines for nano-fabrication and chip production across all Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), from basic research to small-scale production (up to 1 million chips per year).

The expertise encompasses technologies and applications such as Micro-Electromechanical Systems (MEMS), photonics (including photonic circuitry and quantum photonics), quantum chips, and sensing technology, as well as fluidic chips, nanostructured surfaces, and polymer nanofabrication. DTU Nanolab also provides analytical and imaging capabilities for material and structural characterisation down to single-atom resolution.
